California Privacy Statement

California Privacy Notice (CCPA/CPRA Disclosure)

This California Privacy Notice (“Notice”) is provided pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). It supplements the general FooQai, Inc. Privacy Policy and applies solely to California residents.

 

1. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We may collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers (e.g., name, email address, IP address)

  • Commercial information (e.g., records of products or services purchased)

  • Internet or other electronic network activity (e.g., browsing history, usage data)

  • Geolocation data (if available through device settings)

  • Inference data drawn from collected information to create a profile (e.g., usage habits)

 

We collect this information directly from you, from your use of our services (including PlateScan hardware/software), or from service providers acting on our behalf.

 

2. PURPOSES FOR COLLECTION AND USE
We use this information to:

  • Provide, manage, and enhance our services

  • Process transactions and customer support

  • Maintain platform security and prevent fraud

  • Analyze service performance and improve accuracy

  • Train and improve our AI systems and hardware

 

3. DATA OWNERSHIP, SHARING, AND DISCLOSURE
All data collected through the use of FooQai’s products and services — including but not limited to images, usage logs, metadata, analytics, and AI-generated insights — is and shall remain the exclusive property of FooQai, Inc.

 

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose personal information to:

  • Our service providers and contractors under strict confidentiality agreements

  • Law enforcement or regulatory authorities as required by law

  • Acquirers in the event of a business sale, merger, or acquisition

 

We do not knowingly share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.

 

4. CONSUMER RIGHTS UNDER CCPA/CPRA
As a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected

  • Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal exceptions)

  • Correct inaccurate personal information

  • Opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell or share data for cross-context advertising)

  • Limit use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect sensitive PI as defined)

Note: These rights apply only to personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA and do not affect FooQai’s full ownership of business data, proprietary analytics, or content generated by its systems.

 

5. RETENTION
We retain your information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Notice, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Image and operational data collected by PlateScan may be retained indefinitely for analytical, diagnostic, and machine learning purposes.

 

6. NON-DISCRIMINATION
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA/CPRA rights. This includes denying goods or services, charging different prices, or providing a different level of quality.
